This past weekend we went up to Vermont for a weekend full of wedding to do's. It was a perfect weekend. We had an amazing dinner at the Marsh Tavern at the Equinox, and spent the night cozied up around the fire pit outside the Falcon Bar. We met other hotel guests that all happened to be from NJ (except for Adam), and were super nice. We sat around the fire telling jokes, laughing, and enjoying the fresh mountain air. It was great!
We woke up to a cool morning, threw on running clothes and hit the road. I knew where I wanted to run, but needed to make sure that it was close enough so that Adam could hang. :) We asked the front desk how far Hildene (Robert Todd Lincoln's Grand Estate)is from the Equinox, and the response was about 1-2 miles away. So off we went. It was a beautiful, peaceful run.
For those of you that are looking for a nice morning run - we highly recommend it.
Make a right out of the Equinox onto 7A
Run on the road (left side of the road)
About 3/4 miles up 7A you will see a sign for Hildene on your left
Run up the beautiful tree lined road to Hildene (about 1 mile)
You must go the bottom of the road and see the mountain views behind Robert Todd Lincoln's house. These views are amazing!
The way back to the Equinox is about 1 mile.
Happy Running!
